Hybridizers comment: "Port wine standards with very faint lemon basal peppering. Port wine hafts, edge, and faint mid-line on a white ground that carries a lemon yellow patch below the layered rust, purple, and white beard. Think: desert red sandstone cliffs, looking through a natural arch onto white sand, with golden sunbeams coming down. Whoever said it was only the plicata markings that can vary? So can the pattern of the ground color! About 7-9 buds." Grows to 39" and blooms mid to late season.

Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
