Icey white standards sit atop purple falls. Darker veins on the falls create an almost striped appearance. Orange beards add a warm punch to an otherwise subdued color scheme. This is an excellent garden topic because to its superb lacing, branching, and bud count of 9 buds, as well as its pleasant sweet aroma. 38 inches growing early to mid season.
A Note from Bonnie Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
