This is a presale. Shipping will begin mid to late July. Turkish Tapestry - Tall Bearded Iris Exotic-looking plicata. Standards light lobelia on pale marguerite yellow, giving a smoky effect. Falls with straw yellow patch barely showing in center, where it is dotted and threaded with red purple. Wide port margins solid and velvety on distal edge, plus central stripe. Mustard tan beards turn marigold orange in throat. Ruffled, with faint lace of gold points. Terminal and three branches, eight or nine buds.
A Note from Bonnie Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached. BONUS rhizomes are always included at an average rate of 1 for every 5 purchased...my choice.
