Magic combines coal black color with mysterious yellow beards. Although smaller flowered, it makes up for size by producing a plethora of buds (8-12 per stem). Add the pleasant scent of sweet raisins and you have an irresistible combination.
A Note from Bonnie Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached. BONUS rhizomes are always included at an average rate of 1 for every 5 purchased...my choice.
