Some introductions are chosen for their exceptional mass effect, and this is one of them. There's certainly nothing wrong with the individual flowers, either --- basically peach standards and wistaria blue falls, the latter with buff shoulders and narrow marginal suffusion. Melon orange beards are lavender blue at the end. Gentle colors, gentle ruffling, but lots of garden impact. Grows to 36" inches tall and blooms early mid late season.
A Note from Bonnie Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached. BONUS rhizomes are always included at an average rate of 1 for every 5 purchased...my choice.
