Mention n/a Award of Merit n/a Wister Medal n/a Dykes Medal n/a This luminata plicata has a lovely, soft, and pleasant pattern with lots of energy, branching, and buds. The violet standards are nicely bordered in pale cream, and the dark violet falls have a palest cream veining and edge. The red-orange shoulders give the yellow beards a warm hug. It has a sweet scent, with 7 to 9 buds per stalk and very strong blooms. Grows to 34" and blooms mid season.

Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.
