Bearded iris This beauty is a sell out every year! It's a prune/purple that darkens to a black/purple. Beards are huge and bright tangerine. A garden standout, vigorous grower and it produces 9-12 buds per stalk on a four branched stem. Grows to 36" and blooms mid to late season.
A Note from Bonnie Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots. July through September is the best time to dig them up in Ohio. All Iris are grown on my farm and shipped from my home, bareroot with foliage and roots attached.BONUS rhizomes are always included at an average rate of 1 for every 5 purchased...my choice.
